ThriftMyVibe (thriftmyvibe.com) is operated as a sole proprietorship in the State of Washington. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our site.
Information you provide: If you create a buyer account, we collect your email address. If you onboard as a seller, we collect your email address, shop URL, and a description of your inventory. We do not collect passwords — authentication is handled via email verification links.
Information collected automatically: When you use the site, we collect search queries, search result interactions (clicks, saves), and basic session information. We use cookies for session management and affiliate tracking attribution. We do not collect your name, physical address, phone number, payment information, or government identifiers.
Information from third parties: We receive product listing data (titles, prices, images, seller names) from eBay and Etsy through their public APIs. This data belongs to those platforms and their sellers.
We use your information to: operate the site and deliver search results; send transactional emails (account verification, seller onboarding confirmation); track referrals for affiliate commission and seller partner billing; analyze search trends to improve the platform; and display relevant items in search results.
When you click through to eBay or Etsy from ThriftMyVibe, those platforms may set cookies on your browser to attribute the referral. eBay's affiliate cookie lasts 24 hours. Etsy's affiliate cookie (via Awin) lasts 30 days. These cookies are set by those platforms, not by us, and are governed by their respective privacy policies.
For direct seller partners, we use a lightweight tracking pixel on the seller's order confirmation page to record when a referred buyer completes a purchase. This pixel records the order amount and a session identifier. It does not collect the buyer's name, payment details, or personal information.
Your data is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase (cloud-hosted PostgreSQL). Email sending is handled through Amazon Web Services Simple Email Service (AWS SES). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and implement row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: service providers necessary to operate the platform (Supabase for database hosting, AWS for email, Vercel for web hosting); affiliate networks (eBay Partner Network, Awin/Rakuten) in the form of click and referral data as required by their programs; and law enforcement if required by law.
You may: request a copy of the data we hold about you; request deletion of your account and associated data; opt out of non-essential cookies through your browser settings; and unsubscribe from any communications by contacting us. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thriftmyvibe.com.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. ThriftMyVibe is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.
